TAFFY THOMAS - STORYTELLING IN SCHOOLS

As the National Curriculum recognises, the development of speaking and listening skills is integral to Education Development. The love of language that comes with Storytelling is the start of literacy. Taffy Thomas will select an appropriate programme of stories for any age group undertaking up to four sessions in a day in a maximum of two venues. This allows nearby schools, or a cluster or a pyramid to engage him for a project. Session lengths should be as follows: Nursery + Playgroups: 20 Minutes Infants: 30 Minutes Juniors: 45 Minutes Secondary: 60 Minutes Audiences should be a maximum of 80 in number preferably seated at floor level. Follow up work especially re-telling will be encouraged. Taffy enjoys the challenge of fitting appropriate tales to ongoing project work. Any reasonable challenge will be considered and met.
